More about remove.bg
As of September 18, 2026, remove.bg’s product page offers automatic background removal and links to tools and API workflows for using it elsewhere. Its pricing page separates free access from paid plans for additional output and scale.
If another design tool already handles your layouts, the cutout may be the missing part. Check the output size and usage terms for the option you choose.
What remove.bg offers
remove.bg exports transparent cutouts for use in banners and other designs. Check the image you download against the size the banner needs. Keep a copy of the original photograph in case you need to revisit the selection.
iPhone Photos also has a built-in subject cutout tool.
When to choose Lightbox
A listing usually needs more than transparency. You may need white pixels behind the subject, a particular crop, and similar spacing to the rest of the collection. Lightbox keeps those tasks in the same app.
Try a cutout, place it on white, then prepare a second canvas size. For repeated listings, test a reusable template with products of different shapes.
Review the output, not just the preview
A small preview can hide a fringe or missing detail. Open the exported file, inspect fine edges, and test it against the background where it will be used. Confirm whether the file preserves transparency or has already been flattened.
