Adjust the photo with the product in mind

An image can be too dark, too warm, or a little flat even when the product is well photographed. Lightbox’s enhancement workflow makes those issues easier to inspect and adjust.

Start with light and color

The editor includes adjustments for the overall exposure and color of a photo. Compare the result with the physical product under neutral light. A brighter image should still show the same material and finish.

Avoid increasing saturation simply because the result looks more striking. Buyers use color to decide whether a product fits what they need. A restrained adjustment is often more useful than a dramatic filter.

Keep detail believable

Sharpening can make an edge easier to see, but too much creates bright outlines and rough textures. Noise reduction can soften the weave of a fabric or the grain of a material. Inspect labels, stitching, and small surface details when comparing versions.

AI enlargement can generate plausible detail. It cannot prove what a blurred label or tiny mark originally said. If that detail matters to the listing, retake the photo closer or with steadier framing.

Improve the source when you can

Move closer to a window, use a stable support, and tap the subject to set focus before taking the photo. A clean lens and a less cluttered setting can make a larger difference than a later enhancement.

Our iPhone product photography guide covers the setup. Use background removal when the subject is already clear and the setting is the main problem.

Try the beta

Try the adjustments in the TestFlight beta. Compare with Original shows the source photo so you can compare exposure, color, and texture. To adjust several photos at once, select them and change exposure, color, or warmth in the batch editor.
